Counselling In Kingston

Life in the 21st century can be incredibly challenging for all sorts of different reasons. There is an expectation that we should know everything immediately, which can lead to things not properly being dealt with.

Upsets that have not been fully acknowledged do not just disappear; they can continue to rumble beneath the surface of our everyday awareness, demanding to be known.

They can show up as anxiety, depression, or in other ways—often in our close relationships.

Surprisingly, there is still a huge amount of stigma attached to seeking psychotherapy. Being able to trust that our unhappiness or worries need exploration and that they are important and meaningful communications is the first step to getting help.

Psychotherapy works in part as it provides us with a chance to say the things that we rarely share with anyone else, giving us a chance to be understood and taken seriously.

Speaking to someone about what you feel inside can bring immense relief and new levels of self-awareness.

I have been working clinically since 2009, with an MSc in psychotherapy, a BSc Hons degree in integrative counselling (both approved by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) and a qualification in psychoanalytic psychotherapy with adults from the British Psychotherapy Foundation.

If you’re looking for counselling in Kingston or the surrounding areas, you can contact me so I can get a better understanding of what it is you need and to see if the therapy I offer might be right for you.
